Chris Wormstone BSc hons : SRP: MCSP
Originally I attained a degree in sports science at Liverpool John Moores University, before working as a physiotherapy assistant for a year.
Following this I proceeded to take a physiotherapy degree for which I have now been practicing for some seven years.
I have worked within the Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust throughout this period, which has involved both primary, and secondary care sectors in the area of musculoskeletal out-patients.
This has involved extensive work in such areas as:
spinal and pelvic related problems
peripheral joint problems
post-operative rehabilitation within both these areas
injury rehabilitation
muscle imbalance
the use of acupuncture in pain control
I have had extensive experience in the private sector working in a busy local clinic. I am currently a senior 1 (band 7) physiotherapist working in the primary care sector within the NHS working in various GP surgeries in musculoskeletal out-patients.
I am currently undertaking qualifications for peripheral joint injections relating to aspiration, and the use of anaesthetic and corticosteroid in various conditions as part of a current MSc.
