Achilles Tendon Pain
The dreaded Achilles tendon can be a difficult condition to treat, over the years there have been several attempts to find a magic bullet to cure this outright unfortunately there is no magic bullet treatment despite what you may have been told in the past.

Currently the most promising new treatment involves a carefully placed injection of saline ( salt solution ) underneath the tendon. It sounds painful but it is not I have carried out over 50 of these injections and have an 80 - 90 % success rate, I often see patients who have had everything else tried.

FIrst I scan the tendon and then do the injection, post procedure you need to take it easy for at least 3 weeks after which you begin to build up your activity this is guided by one of our physiotherapists.
