Patella Tendonitis " Jumpers Knee "
A common cause of anterior knee pain in footballers, or sports involving jumping such as basket ball. This condition often starts after a knock to the knee, the pain gradually gets worse over time. The main pain is just under your kneecap. Worse with sitting for long periods or running especially decelarating or landing from a jump.

At the clinic we carry out an evidence based rehab program which sorts out the vast majority of these problems. If not Dr Brown will dry needle the tendon under ultrasound guidance and sometimes inject some platelet enriched plasma into the tendon to accelarate its rehabilitation.

More information on platelet enriched / platelet conditioned plasma can be found under Patient information.
